    Here is a nice 17th century iron kaltrop in original condition. The iron surface has a nice patina from age. Kaltrops were used to defend castle walls and to protect retreating armies as well as being thrown onto the decks of enemy ships before a boarding attack. In total measuring 2.3 inches high and
    2.5 inches wide. From Edinburgh Scotland.
